I have a dead Matrix 6 that I am trying to revive.
(Will write progress/failure reports on my synth blog http://synthpeter.blogspot.com/ )
One of the things wrong with it is that one key is broken in half and another key has a crack across it and it's about to fall off. I am hoping to glue it back together (2-comp epoxy?) but I don't know how to remove the keys.

Apart from lifting the front plate up, do I have to remove the entire keybed and do something? It LOOKS like I am just supposed to be able to slide the key forward (out from the synth) and unhinge it by lifting it in the back but it just doesn't clear the metal completely and won't come free so I am wondering if there's something else I need to do.
I bet it's really simple but before I try the "brute force" method I was hoping for some tips using more finesse and less chance of breaking something.
I tried googling but didn't find any guides about this particular keyboard type, I guess because it's so simple (looks simple compared to others I've seen guides for at least) but still I can't figure out how to get the keys out.
Can somebody tell me what I need to do or does anyone have a guide?

While I'm at it, I can tell you that it's a 120V machine that I altered to run at 230V (transformer is prepared for this, just need to reroute some stuff on the fuse board) and the voltage regulators seem to output the correct voltages but the display and all LEDs are dead when I power it on.
Any spontaneous ideas?

(btw, maybe an Oberheim forum would be a good idea? Smile )
